Today is was out there jogging, in a big city of southwestern Europe, and I saw billboards of Mbappè "selling" sunglasses, and of Messi "selling" fucking Sodastream :) Compared to what actually "sells" here, Osaka has got no reach. Her "dual representation" did good to her finances, but her face is a seller only in selected countries, rich ones, but still very selected.

In the US? Maybe not so much. But global? Tennis is a massive sport, like the 4th or 5th biggest sport in the world. Osaka is easily one of the most recognizable names out there for female athletes. By a mile.

I'm 43 and the 1991 NFC Championship feels like a lifetime ago. I think we have a real shot next year though. Five of our losses this year were by one possession. We beat Aaron Rodgers twice. It feels like a different mentality. A couple years ago, they wouldn't have won this last game in GB. They would have fucked up that 4th down conversion. Goff has totally changed my feelings on him from the start of the season.

After this season though, I think my Lions are on the upward. I've been a fan since the mid 80s when I was a kid. This is one of the toughest squads I've seen since the Sanders-era.

I think all the NFC playoff teams are glad they didn't make it. Yes, the Niners are good but with the momentum Detroit had, especially if Seattle had lost, beating GB would have been an unbelievable boost and they were going to be very dangerous.
